12 Snow Pics To Perk You Up A Bit

Heavy snow fell across large swathes of the UK over the weekend, bringing people out from under their blankets and into a blizzard of snowflakes. 

The Met Office has put in place yellow weather warnings for snow, stretching from coast to coast in southern England and ending just below Manchester.

Drivers are being urged to take care on icy roads as severe weather warnings amid fears of travel disruption.

A yellow warning is also in place down the east coast of Scotland and covering most of Ireland.

In Wales, four Covid-19 vaccination centres were forced to close due to heavy snow, as well as six coronavirus testing centres in the West Midlands.

But the snow also brought some much-deserved relief and wintry joy as people across Britain woke to large swathes of the country blanketed under heavy snow.

The cold snap is expected to last until Wednesday, with temperatures predicted to plummet to -7C in parts of northern England and -10C in Scotland.

Finally, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan posted a video of his family’s golden retriever Luna spinning around the garden as the snow fell.

“Luna is loving the snow and hoping it settles,” he said.
