Dancing On Ice Pro Yebin Mok Ruled Out Of Show After Freak Stabbing Accident ‘Exposed Tendons’

Dancing On Ice professional Yebin Mok has been ruled out of the show for at least a few weeks after sustaining a horrific injury.

The skater, who is partnered with Olympic skier Graham Bell, stabbed her leg with her own skate blade ahead of this weekend’s launch show.

Host Phillip Schofield said the laceration had exposed her tendons, and it was so bad, images could not be shown on TV.

Revealing the news on Wednesday’s This Morning alongside co-host Holly Willoughby, he said: “This week Olympic skier Graham Bell and his partner Yebin had a freak accident, which resulted in her having a laceration on her leg.

“We had a Zoom meeting yesterday with the team and they showed us a picture that we can not show you on TV.

“Holly couldn’t even look at it, she had to look away – and it was a very nasty stab wound from an ice blade.

“You could see the tendons, it’s a very dangerous show.”

Comedian Rufus Hound will skate this weekend instead of Graham, who will appear on next week’s show with new partner Karina Manta while Yebin recovers.

Due to the severity of her injury, Phil and Holly said Yebin will be “out of the show for quite a few weeks”.

Her injury comes after contestant Rebekah Vardy revealed her skating partner Andy Buchanan was taken to hospital after she accidentally cut his face with her skate.

She said: “I seem to be the only one who’s ended up hurting my pro, putting him in hospital.

“I do apologise. No, It was awful; I think I’ve just come to terms with scarring his face.

“We were practicing a trick and we changed it slightly from something that we would normally do – and we did it on a daily basis and everything would go right and nothing would go wrong.”

Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
